Legal Review Request Forms

Request for Legal Services

All contracts received by any College employee or official must be reviewed by the Office of the General Counsel or the Director of Purchasing and Auxiliary Services before being duly executed by the appropriate signature authority. Unless you have clearly been given delegated signature authority by the Board of Trustees (e.g. Director of Purchasing and Auxiliary Services or Provost), DO NOT sign any agreements, contracts, memoranda of understanding, binding letters or the like. Please make sure that the proposed contract meets your needs and reflects the substantive terms that you discussed with the vendor. The Legal Review Request form is available to make a request to the Office of the General Counsel to review of a contract, to ask a general legal question, or to propose a new or a change to an existing Rule or Procedure. Upon submitting the form, the Vice President over your area will receive a copy of your legal review request. Proposed Rule and Procedure changes require review by the General Counsel before they will be considered by the President's Cabinet and ultimately, if applicable, the Board of Trustees.
