Applications for Altrusa Scholarships Now Being Accepted

Altrusa International of Gainesville's scholarship fund provides up to five scholarships to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» women from Alachua or Bradford County. The $1,300 scholarships will be awarded for the 2011-2012 academic year. Past recipients are encouraged to reapply for the following year.
To qualify, recipients must be at least 25 years old, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Alachua or Bradford County, and have a definite plan for improving their career whether through advancement, training, or a new career, or entering or re-entering the job market.
Recipients must also be an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» student or accepted at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», and demonstrate scholastic ability and financial need. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time, seek a degree, and maintain a 2.5 grade point average.
You can submit applications from now until March 2.
