FSC-J STARS THUMP SAINTS, 74-51

Jacksonville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints struggled to score on Saturday evening in Jacksonville and the result was their largest margin of defeat on the season, 74-51.

The Saints (17-12, 4-7 MFC) played solid defense in the first half, holding Florida State College at Jacksonville to just 26 points, but could only muster 20 of their own.

FSC-J turned up the heat in the second half and scored 48 to pull away for the win.

Jerome Clyburn was the lone Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ player in double figures with 13. Despite the loss, the Saints can still clinch a spot in the Mid-Florida Conference tournament with a win next Saturday or a loss by FSC-J on Wednesday or Saturday.

The final regular season game for Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ is next Saturday, February 19 at home against St. John's River State at 4:00 PM. It can be watched live on www.psblive.com.
