Outcrop of Honor at UF

Recently Mike Patrick and Greg Mead, through a kind donation from President Jackson Sasser, reserved a place at the University of Florida Geology Department's new Outcrop of Honor. Soon, a plaque with the legend "The Geology Faculty and Pres. Jackson Sasser, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»" will be placed on a beautiful slab of white pegmatite to show the close ties between the geology programs at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and UF.
The photo shows them presenting the check to the chair of the Geology Department at UF, Dr. Michael Perfit. Every year, several students who graduate from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» begin their geological careers at UF.
