College Curriculum Committee
Committee Information
The College Curriculum Committee is established to provide a systematic process for reviewing and recommending actions for proposed changes that affect the College's curricula. The process should be faculty-driven, incorporate administrative leadership and support, and assure effective communication and feedback throughout the college.
The College Curriculum Committee has three subcommittees:
- Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) Curriculum Subcommittee
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Subcommittee
- Health Sciences (HS) Curriculum Subcommittee
The College Curriculum Committee meets regularly throughout fall and spring semesters and if needed during summer term. It is composed of the following with faculty members voting and all other members serving in an advisory role. This committee meets at least monthly during fall and spring semesters and if needed during summer semester due to exigent circumstances. Full-time faculty members must have adequate experience to contribute substantially to the curriculum process. Members unable to attend must send a representative (who has voting rights if they are a faculty member representing one of the six faculty members on the committee).
- Faculty chair (non-voting except in a tie)
- Faculty chair-elect (voting)
- Six faculty members; two from each subcommittee, at least one of whom is on the leadership of the subcommittee (voting)
- Three Academic Associate Vice Presidents (LAS, CTE, and Health Sciences)
- Vice Provost
- Provost
- Curriculum Coordinator
- Director of College-Wide Advising
- Director of Financial Aid
- College Registrar
- Chief Information Officer
- Associate Vice President, Facilities
- Chief Financial Officer
Faculty members on the College Curriculum Committee serve two-year renewable terms with no term limits; rotation of membership is encouraged. Voting members are recommended by the School Curriculum Subcommittees and confirmed by the College Senate. The Chair and Chair-Elect serve one-year terms. The Chair-Elect is nominated each year and confirmed by the College Senate and the previous year’s chair-elect becomes the Chair.
Current Members
The formation of the College Curriculum Committee was finalized on April 14, 2026. Committee leadership and members will be identified and selected throughout the summer semester.
