- Credit for CDA: If you already have a valid CDA, you can potentially receive college credit towards ECE degrees.
- FCCPC Pathway: Completing the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» FCCPC program (which incorporates CDA requirements) earns you a state-recognized credential and credits applicable to ECE degrees, including work hours and portfolio development. You must meet the Department of Children and Families requirements prior to being awarded this credential.
- Degree Alignment: Credits from your CDA/FCCPC training can apply towards:
-
- A.S. in Early Childhood Education: A 2-year degree for workforce entry.
- B.S. in Early Childhood Education: A 4-year degree for career advancement.
Key Benefits for earning these credentials:
- Career Advancement: FCCPC and CDA credentials increase your value to employers and meet Florida's childcare personnel requirements.
- Stackable Credentials: Earn a credential, then use those credits to get an Associate's, and potentially a Bachelor's degree.
