Steps to Enroll
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» welcomes all students regardless of immigration status. We accept new students each semester – fall, spring, and summer.
Regardless of your immigration status, all students can apply for admission to Santa Fe College through the .
If you are not have a student visa or other legal immigration status:
- For Citizenship type, select International Applicant.
- For Visa Type, select none.
- For Residency, select do not qualify.
- You will initially be categorized as an International student. After completing the application for admission, please contact an Admissions Advisor through our digital lobby and request to have the requirements for international students removed from your account and get answers to any questions you may have regarding admission to the college.
Students who cannot complete the Florida Residency process may qualify for a waiver to waive out-of-state tuition. However, this does not give Florida Residency. Please see the requirements below:
If you graduated from a high school in Florida, are a citizen of the United States or are lawfully present in the United States, and meet the eligibility criteria below, you may be eligible for an out-of-state tuition waiver (and eligible to pay in-state tuition rates at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»):
- Attended a Florida high school for the last three consecutive years immediately before graduation from a Florida high school
- Submitted an admission application to a college or university within 24 months of high school graduation
- To find the Florida High School Graduate Waiver,
- Login to with your Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»ID and password
- Click Documents, then Public Documents.
- Click Admissions Documents, then Florida High School Graduate Out-of-State Waiver.
- Complete this form.

Financial Aid
While Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» welcomes all students regardless of immigration status, only U.S. citizen and permanent residents are eligible for federal financial aid. All Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» students are encourage to apply for institutional scholarships as explained below.
Most states and colleges use information collected on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine whether students are eligible for aid. If you have a Social Security number, you may complete the FAFSA and we encourage you to do so at . For the answer to the question about citizenship status, check the box that says "ineligible non-citizen".
We also recommend that you contact a financial aid advisor to see what types of financial aid you may be eligible to receive and whether completing the FAFSA is the way to apply for that aid.
Scholarships
Several scholarships are available to students who may not qualify for Financial Aid through FAFSA. Click on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» General Scholarship Application link below. There will be 2 years of applications to choose from. Please choose Current Year. If you are not eligible to complete a FAFSA, the scholarship application will ask you to provide a statement of need instead.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Career Exploration Center assists students with scholarships searches. The Learning Commons at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» also has writing tutors who may assist students with writing essays for scholarships.
