Career Guidance Programs
It’s hard to make choices when we don’t know what the choices are.
Career information resources can help us learn about the options and make good choices in navigating our career paths.
These programs offer:
- Career assessments to compare your personal characteristics with occupations of possible interest.
- Descriptions of occupations including salaries, training requirements, growth or decline rates, and more.
- Videos of occupations showing workers on-the-job and sharing of their experiences.
- Links to schools, colleges, and universities offering relevant training.
- Lists of current job openings for occupations of interest.
- Instruction and guidance on creating resumes, interviewing, and orchestrating a job search.
Below are some of the best resources, those which we often find useful in answering students’ questions.
If unsure which would best serve your needs, please contact the CEC staff. We will be happy to discuss these resources with you to help find the best answers to your career and college related questions.
