About the grant
The Open Door Grant Program is a state-funded financial aid program that supports non-credit industry credentials and career training.
At Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», this funding is available for current workers and future employees who enroll in eligible Continuing Education programs. Awards may cover up to 100% of tuition for an approved Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Continuing Education course. Courses are fully online and self-paced.
This grant provides job-skills certification for high-demand fields and supports non-degree-seeking students in Continuing Education.
Eligibility
To apply you must:
- Be enrolled in an eligible Continuing Education course for this grant
- Not have the full cost covered by another federal or state source
- Be a Florida resident as defined in s. 1009.21, F.S.
The application form includes the complete requirements.
Important: If the course is not completed (including withdrawal, failure, or stopping attendance), you will be responsible for the full payment of the course and may forfeit opportunities for future Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Continuing Education scholarships and grants, including the Open Door Grant.
How to apply
- Complete the online form. Use an email address you check.
- A PDF will be emailed to you. Print it, sign it, and follow the instructions on the PDF.
- If you are not a current Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» student, apply to the college as a Continuing Education student first.
