Alachua County Honoree

A visionary leader, entrepreneur, and steadfast advocate for education, Greg Bradley is a longtime member and former Board President of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Foundation who successfully helped drive the College’s $16 million fundraising campaign.
He said “Serving Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is about more than governance — it’s about believing in the mission and people that are helping students transform their lives, families, and communities.â€
Accordingly, Bradley has been engaged in that transformative work as founder of the Mirror Image Leadership Academy, a community initiative dedicated to developing authentic leadership among young Black men through experiential learning, mentorship, and exposure to new opportunities — cultivating the next generation of community leaders.
A respected local business owner and civic leader, Bradley serves on numerous community boards, including the Sunrise Rotary Club. His collaborative and strategic approach has forged a partnership with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» that helps students connect their God-given value with what they can achieve provided access to the right educational opportunity and environment.
"Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» strikes this balance well. It opens doors for first-generation and non-traditional students, while maintaining academic rigor that builds confidence, resilience, and competence," Bradley said. "I’ve seen students discover that they are capable of more than they ever believed — and that discovery changes the trajectory of their lives."
Dr. Dan Rodkin
Alachua County Honoree

Few associated with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» have been as impactful in creating a 'college-going' culture than Dr. Dan Rodkin, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.
In his 25 years of distinguished service to the College, Dr. Rodkin has tirelessly advocated for student success, with an emphasis on access and opportunity for underserved student populations. His contributions in student development, enrollment management, international education, adult education, assessment and community partnerships continue to have life-changing impact through visionary initiatives like the Freedom to Learn program, that has lowered recidivism by working to shepherd justice-impacted students into new lives of purpose, productivity and promise.
Dr. Rodkin was the driving force behind the creation of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Achieve, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s signature initiative designed to build a college-going culture across Alachua and Bradford Counties, operating through cross-divisional college teams, K–12 school districts, community organizations, and funding partners to establish scholarships, mentoring networks, curriculum alignment, and embedded specialists in local schools.
A recipient of the Alan J. Robertson Medallion for his exceptional contributions to the College's mission and community impact, Dr. Rodkin has served as chair of Study Florida and the president of both the Association of Florida Colleges and the Florida College System Activities Association. He is member of the U.S. Commerce Department’s Greater Florida District Export Council and was a Fulbright Fellow via the 2018 Community College Administrators Seminar in Russia. Locally, Dr. Rodkin serves on boards for the Climb for Cancer Foundation, the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment, and the Rotary Club of Gainesville Sunrise.
John Miller
Bradford County Honoree

John Miller, a community institution in his hometown of Starke, Florida, as owner and publisher of the Bradford County Telegraph since 1969, is known for his reliability, generosity, and quiet leadership.
An emeritus member of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Foundation Board and faithful philanthropic advocate for the College's student success and programs, Miller has spent his life preserving the civic fabric of Bradford County while championing education as a cornerstone of community growth — of which Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is a major part. His commitment to local journalism, civic engagement, and education has had a lasting impact on Bradford County and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³».
The Telegraph has served not only as a news source, but also as a civic pillar for the county — highlighting education, local government, community events, and the achievements of area residents. Miller has ensured that accurate information, local voices, and community stories remain accessible to the people of Starke and the surrounding region. His longtime stewardship of the paper reflects a deep belief in transparency, an informed citizenship, and the power of community connection, ideals which strongly align with the mission of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³».
Miller's dedication to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» in expanding educational access and opportunity for students in Bradford County reflects a genuine commitment to strengthening higher education locally, and ensuring that students from rural communities have pathways to success close to home.
BANCF
Organization Honoree
The Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) has had a deeply valued partnership with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» since 2007, when BANCF’s apprenticeship program was officially registered and began scaling as a formal, structured pathway into the trades. Advancing education, workforce development, and economic opportunity through its sustained support of the College, BANCF continues to play a critical role for students pursuing careers in construction and the skilled trades, providing educational access, and opening doors to high-demand, high-paying careers that serve the region.
Their advocacy for hands-on education has been exhibited through initiatives like the Habitat for Humanity house, allowing Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students to gain practical training while serving the community. As the registered sponsor of apprenticeships in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Building Maintenance, BANCF helps Santa Fe College-trained apprentices connect their training to college and career advancement.
As host of the highly successful annual Silent Auction fundraiser, BANCF has established multiple scholarships to reduce financial barriers for students entering construction-related fields, providing life-changing opportunity that gets Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students skilled up and rapidly deployed into the state's workforce.
“BANCF brings the employers and the workforce demand; Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» brings the
education and infrastructure—together, we turn local talent into skilled professionals
with paychecks, not debt.â€
— Sara Emmanuel, BANCF Executive Officer/Director of Apprenticeship
