2010 Alternative Spring Break

The 2010 Alternative Spring Break is a departmental program sponsored by the Office of Community Service, Student Government, and Student Life.

The Office of Community Service will be taking 18 Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ students and two advisors to Washington, D.C., March 6-12, 2010.

Students will volunteer at the Food n' Friends facility to prepare food for HIV and cancer patient; beautify a children's playgrounds; feed the homeless; volunteer for veterans; meet with members of Congress; and visit Washington landmarks.

Applications are available online. All applications must be submitted to S-147 no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 11. Participants will be notified of their acceptance no later than Jan. 25.

A $150 deposit will be due by Dec. 15 for all interested applicants. (Monies will be returned to applicants not selected.)
