ST. PETE HANGS ON TO DEFEAT SANTA FE, 80-75
Clearwater, FL – In the last contest of 2013, the Santa Fe Saints fought hard for 40 minutes against a tough St. Petersburg College team but came up just short, falling to the Titans by five in their gym.
The Saints (5-10) trailed by three at the half, 41-38, and could never quite completely close the gap. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» showed vast improvement from their first meeting with SPC when they lost 74-48 on November 15 in Ocala.
Jocelyn Mousty led Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» scores with 20 points and seven rebounds, Jaquasha Sesler had 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Tatian Manuel had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Saints will take a few days off before starting Mid-Florida Conference play against defending champions Florida State College-Jacksonville at home on January 4 at 2:00 PM. The game will be broadcast on www.ihigh.com/santafesaints
