August 21, 1995 – Dr. Tyree kicks off the start of the Fall term and the arrival of an expected 12,800 students in the annual State of the College address.
August 21, 2004 – According to the Gainesville Sun, President Sasser announced desire to help IF become a top research University by identifying talented Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC students early.
August 22, 1980 – Budget request to put 44 million Allied Health Facility in fund category to be done in 3 years
August 22, 1991 – Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC celebrates 25 Anniversary.
August 22, 2001 - Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC begins enforcement of smoking policy today. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC Police will write tickets to students and staff who are caught smoking outside the designated areas on campus. Students will then have to attend a three-hour class hosted by the student activities office.
August 23, 1995 – Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC observes the 75 anniversary of women's voting rights with a panel discussion of the ratification of the 19 Amendment to the US Constitution.
August 23, 1996 - Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC celebrates its 30 Anniversary.
August 23, 2004 – Archer Center opens, about 200 students enroll. T-shaped building 10,500 square feet, to serve SW Alachua County, but also draws from neighboring communities.
August 23, 2004 – Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC attracting more students. Enrollment over 16, 000, 3% rise from 2003. Continue open door policy.
August 24, 2004 – Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC adds Aviation and Internet Technology degrees, train students to be pro pilot, articulate to Embry-Riddle and Web design.
August 25, 1966 – The old Buchholz Junior High School is named the site for Santa Fe's temporary home.
August 25, 1995 - Richie Drew (disabled Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC student) profiled.
August 27, 2003 – Fall classes begin at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC's new Archer Center to help alleviate economic hardship and serve diverse students.
August 27, 2003 – The first community and continuing education courses begin at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»CC.
