"Starry Night 2017" at the Florida Museum of Natural History

October 27, 2017 – There will be activities for all ages at the Florida Museum of Natural History for Starry Night 2017.
Starry Night 2017 will be held Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, from 6 – 10 p.m. is an opportunity to meet and interact with professional and amateur astronomers alike, learn about our universe, and stargaze at distant stars and planets.
Starry Night 2017 is a partnership of Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Astronomy, University of Florida Astronomy, the Florida Museum of Natural History, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Kika Silva Pla Planetarium, and the Alachua Astronomy Club, Inc. This annual event is free and open to the public.
Guest speakers include Dr. Amy Mainzer, a NASA astrophysicist and cosmos expert and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Kika Silva Pla Planetarium coordinator James Albury.
In addition to the speakers, there will be fun activities for all ages including:
- Ask an Astronomer
- Cosmic Time Tunnel
- Discover the Invisible Universe
- Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Astronomy Program
- And so much more
Food and drink vendors will be on-site.
