Saints Fastpitch Perfect Over the Weekend

February 19, 2018 – The Santa Fe Saints Fastpitch softball team went 4-0 over the weekend homestand, defeating South Florida State College Friday night at St. Petersburg College Saturday.
In Friday's action, Kaylan Tucker pitched a shutout while Emily Yakel hit an early two-run home run, as the Saints cruised to a 4-0 victory. In the nightcap, Jamie Adams picked up the win, as the Saints defeated Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»SC 7-1.
Saturday's games, were much closer, as Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» picked up a pair of one-run wins against SPC. Bailee Moll knocked in the game winning run in the eighth inning of game one and the Saints earned the 5-4 win. The final game of the weekend saw the Saints win 4-3, thanks in part to a two-run home run off the bat of Haissette Escudero.
The Saints are now 13-5-1 on the season and are riding a four-game winning streak. Their next games will be Thursday, Feb. 22, at St. Petersburg College. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» will be on the road for their next six contests, before returning home Thursday, March 1.
