麻豆传媒映画PD Welcomes Two New Dispatchers

June 4, 2018 鈥� The 麻豆传媒映画 Police Department welcomes new dispatchers Kaylen Schroeder and Sean Geiger to the 麻豆传媒映画PD. Both dispatchers took and passed the Florida Department of Health 9-1-1 Public Safety Telecommunicator Exam. Passing this test is the last step in a lengthy training period to become certified to answer emergency calls and dispatch police, fire, and EMS units.
Both Schroeder and Geiger attended a 240-hour online dispatching academy over nine weeks through the company Critical Learning Development. This company uses experienced dispatchers to teach a state-designed curriculum.
In addition to the two new dispatchers taking the state exam, the 麻豆传媒映画PD has been steadily working over the last several years getting all of the sworn law enforcement officers certified to dispatch as well. This allows the officers to relieve dispatchers for breaks and to fill in when a dispatcher requests off. As of earlier this month, officers Joseph "Joel" Pearson, Jorge Frame, and Guillermo "Gizmo" Cifuentes have completed this process, passed the exam, and the 麻豆传媒映画PD now has every full-time staff member certified to dispatch.
