Three Athletes, Coach and 80-81 Basketball Team to be Inducted in Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Athletics Hall of Fame

April 3, 2019 – The Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Athletics department will enshrine three athletes, a coach and the 1980-1981 men's basketball team into the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Athletics Hall of Fame. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Fine Arts Hall.
This year's inductees are athletes Tyler Cook (baseball 2007 – 2009), Colena Lazar (softball 2009-2011) and Tracie Sneed- McQueen (women's basketball 2008 – 2010). Men's basketball coach Jeff Burkhamer (1994 – 1998) will enter the Hall of Fame in the Administrators, Officials and Contributors category. The1980-81 men's basketball team becomes Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s 10 team honored.
This will be the eighth annual event to enshrine former Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Athletics greats.
Following the ceremony, the honorees and their families will be treated to lunch in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Gymnasium, followed by tours of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Teaching Zoo and the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium.
