Boo at the Zoo Another Huge Success

November 8, 2019

November 8, 2019 – The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Teaching Zoo students and staff would like to thank the entire Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» community for celebrating the 25th annual Boo at the Zoo with them! The zoo welcomed 5,326 guests and raised 5,330 canned goods for Catholic Charities and Gainesville Harvest at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». All donations will help community members in need this upcoming holiday season.

There were two entries in the pumpkin carving contest, one by Rose Christy, the other from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Student Life. Zooies voted on the pumpkins, and Student Life's Ursula pumpkin was determined the winner! Staff from Student Life won an encounter with our three Galapagos tortoises, Larry, Curly, and Moe.

A huge thanks to everyone who donated candy! The Admissions Department collected the most, donating over 40 bags. The Math Department wasn't far behind with about 30 bags of candy. We could not put on this event without the generosity and support of the entire Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» community, and are looking forward to celebrating our 26th annual Boo at the Zoo next year!
