Phishing Email Alert for Students, Faculty and Staff

November 15, 2019
November 15, 2019 – Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Information Technology Services (ITS) is alerting all Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» employees about a phishing campaign impacting the college's email system. Several Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» employees have received an email that appears to be from an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» email account with the subject line "Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Email Account Update"
ITS says that once an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» employee clicks on the link, their computer is at risk. Other employees may receive the phishing email claiming to be from that employee's email account.
ITS recommends deleting that email and not clicking on the link. If any Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» employees have clicked the phishing link, they should change their password. They should also notify ITS at help.desk@sfcollege.edu if they have clicked the link so ITS can monitor the account for possible problems.
You should always report any suspicious emails to the ITS Help Desk at 352-395-5999 or help.desk@sfcollege.edu.
