February 17, 2020 – The Santa Fe Saints women's basketball team saw their winning streak extend to nine games, with a 95-76 win on the road against DME Academy.
Zoe Alexander, a freshman out of Dr. Phillips High school, scored 16 points for the Saints while Danasia Bogle had 14 points, three steals and three assists off the bench.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» improves to 18-10 on the season and 7-1 in the conference. The Saints wrap up regular season play Saturday in Jacksonville to face FSC-J at 2 p.m.
The Saints have clinched their second consecutive Mid-Florida Conference Championship and will advance to the NJCAA Region VIII/FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville, Fla. March 5-7.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s baseball team saw their 11-game winning streak end Saturday after they split a pair of games in Avon Park against South Florida State College.
Brooks Walton pitched a four-hit shutout in the opening game, as the Saints won 2-0. Their streak ended with a 4-0 loss in game two of the doubleheader, the team's first loss since January 27.
Despite the streak coming to an end, the Saints are 12-3 to start the season. They can try to start a new winning streak in Tallahassee this afternoon with a 4 p.m. first pitch against Tallahassee Community College.
The Saints softball (7 - 5)team was off this weekend. They will be in Tallahassee Tuesday for a pair of games against Tallahassee Community College before returning home for games against Eastern Florida State College Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s men's basketball team (10-17, 2-8 MFC) will play their final home game of the season Wednesday when they host Eastern Florida State College.
