麻豆传媒映画 Teams Place First and Third in Global Sustainability Competition

April 22, 2021 鈥� Out of a total of 27 teams, two 麻豆传媒映画 teams that competed in Cohort IV of the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge have been selected winners. Global Solutions is a virtual exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State though the Stevens Initiative, which is administered by the Aspen Institute. The program was started in the Fall of 2019 and has brought together over 2000 students from the United States, Jordan and Iraq. The binational teams that 麻豆传媒映画 students participated in won first and third place.
The binational team led by Dr. Clay Smith allowed 麻豆传媒映画 students in the B.S. in Accounting and B.A.S. in Organizational Management programs to collaborate with students at Al-Hussein Technical University in Amman, Jordan. They proposed a spectacular project to optimize communication in the food supply chain and help reduce food waste around the world. You can learn more about their group's proposal online. Students will receive $2000 to help develop their prototype further and find additional investors.
The binational team that worked with Dr. Vilma Fuentes allowed students in A.A., B.S. in Accounting, and B.A.S. in Organizational Management to work with automotive engineering students at Luminus Technical University College in Amman, Jordan. They proposed developing electronic scooters made of recycled parts that can be charged in a solar-powered station.
