Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD an AXON Rise Award Nominee for Second Straight Year

March 9, 2022 – The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Police Department has been nominated for a 2022 Rise Award from Axon. It's the second straight year the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD has been nominated, this time for a couple of charitable efforts. First is for their partnership with the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Teaching Zoo for the college's Ghosts Goblins and Groceries food drive which collected 5958 canned food items for food-insecure people in our community. The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD was also nominated for their Winter Coat Drive to benefit students and their families at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Little School.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» community can vote for the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD once a day, every day now through Friday, March 25, at https://riseawards.us.launchpad6.com/agency2022/entry/190. The top 10 finalists with the most votes in each category will then be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winners will be selected by early April and announced at the Axon Accelerate conference the following month.
