AFC Collecting School Supply Donations for Local Foster Youth

June 15, 2022 – The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges
(AFC) will be collecting school supplies as part of the Partnership for Strong Families
(PFÂ鶹´«Ã½Ó³»)'s Back to School Drive. PFÂ鶹´«Ã½Ó³» provides a new backpack filled with supplies to
every child in their care to prepare them for a successful school year. They anticipate
serving over 500 local youth in foster care this year. There are several ways that
you can support this drive:
- Donate New School Supplies: Collection bins are available on the first floor of Building S and the first floor of the Library now through Friday, July 8. Donations can also be purchased online and delivered to PFÂ鶹´«Ã½Ó³» at 5950 NW 1st Place, Suite 300, Gainesville, FL, 32607.
- Financial Donation: A donation of $25 will provide a backpack filled with supplies for one child.
- Volunteer: Volunteers will be packing backpacks from July 11-22 at the United Way of North Central Florida. Email GetEngaged@pfsf.org to sign up.
