Changes to Student Access for 麻豆传媒映画 Accounts

December 6, 2023 鈥� Some 麻豆传媒映画 students may run into difficulties accessing their 麻豆传媒映画 accounts including email and Canvas. The changes, implemented by Microsoft, no longer use a student's phone number or email as the primary method for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Microsoft is using the Microsoft Authenticator app as the primary method for students to access their 麻豆传媒映画 accounts. As we enter the spring term, all 麻豆传媒映画 students will need to use Microsoft's authentication systems to access their 麻豆传媒映画 accounts.
This past fall, MFA was implemented for all college employees. The college had anticipated rolling MFA out to students in the summer of 2024, however the changes at Microsoft have caused the college to start the process for students immediately. If a student encounters this issue accessing their account during the winter break, all they will have to do is download the Microsoft Authenticator app onto their cellphone, then follow the prompts provided to access their 麻豆传媒映画 accounts.
If you do not have a cellphone and you see the Microsoft Authenticator message

You will temporarily be able to access your 麻豆传媒映画 accounts, however all students will need to use Microsoft's authentication systems to access their 麻豆传媒映画 accounts beginning this spring.
