Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Fine Arts Events This Week: "Take 5" and Alexander Hanson Exhibit

January 22, 2024 – Benefiting from strong community backing, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology program is expanding its reach on local, national and international levels. This week's offerings showcase the program's commitment.
"Take 5"
Audience members will enjoy a unique theatre experience with live music in a jazz club atmosphere when Theatre Santa Fe presents the "Take 5" 10-Minute Play Festival at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall at the Northwest Campus of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $9 for seniors, students, military service members and children 12 and under; and free for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students, faculty, and staff with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»ID. Alexander Hanson Exhibit
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Gallery showcases the talents of Alexander Hanson until March 15. Hanson's work often focuses on the use of objects, constructed and found, to ask pointed questions. He will be creating a site-specific installation and spending a week on campus as a visiting artist-in-residency.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. You can find the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Gallery in Building M, Room 147, on the Northwest Campus at 3000 NW 83 Street in Gainesville.
