February 15, 2024 – Ward Scott, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³») professor from 1969 until 2007, passed away today. He served as President of the College Senate for several years in the early 2000s. He returned to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» as a Professor Emeritus in 2008. One year later, Scott received the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Lifetime Achievement Award.
He served the community in many capacities, even running for a seat on the Alachua County Commission.
