May 17, 2024 – The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Police Department (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD) provides several services to students, faculty and staff to promote safety at the college. Yet, safety is a duty we all share.
Run, Hide, Fight
The college offers safety information through the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Safety and Risk Management webpage, including the college's Emergency Procedures that include a six-minute video called "Run, Hide, Fight." Getting yourself out of harm's way needs to be your top priority. The video covers what you should do if there is an active shooter event.
See Something, Say Something
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD reminds the college community to report any suspicious activity. If you see behavior that indicates a potential for violence or threatens anyone at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» or on Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» property, please dial 911 or call the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Police Department immediately at 352-395-5555.

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD, located in Building T on the Northwest Campus, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. If you need to contact the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»PD for an emergency situation, call 352-395-5555 or dial 911. For any other police business or a nonemergency, you can call 352-395-5519.
