August 3, 2024 – Here's some Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ news you might have missed:

• Explore two worlds for the price of one at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Teaching Zoo and Kanapaha Gardens: From Aug. 1 to 18, both attractions can be explored for the price of one.

• On Aug. 5, the road in front of Building O will be closed for utility installation: The installation is expected to be completed by Aug. 9.

• The Academy of Science and Technology at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ has earned a school grade of "A" from the Florida Department of Education: Fall classes begin Aug. 12 for the Academy's Sophomore and new Freshmen classes.

• Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ bids farewell to Dr. Jodi Long: Her final day at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ will be Thursday, Aug. 15.

• Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­'s annual convocation for faculty and staff is scheduled for Aug. 16: It will take place at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall on the Northwest Campus.

• The Professional Development Scholarship Fund is accepting applications until Aug. 19: 

• Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Live! returns to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ on August 21 and 22: This event is Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­'s annual new student orientation that first-time students must attend before registering for classes in their second semester.

• The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Little School is currently enrolling for the Fall term: It has open spots in its young two-year-old classes.

• UF's PEAP program gives Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ students an inside track to pharmacy school: The Pharmacy Early Assurance Program will begin at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ this fall.
