Brain Bowl Ends Season, Prepares for January Nationals

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Brain Bowl team finished the competition season for the term. 12 teams competed in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Fall Invitational Tournament, hosted by the college on Nov. 2. Chipola College took first place, with Valencia College's Red team finishing second. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Blue team placed third, while Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s second team, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» White, came in ninth. Griffin Lora from Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Blue team ranked first in the individual standings.
At the Delta Burke Tournament in Orlando on Nov. 8 and 9, 14 Florida teams were joined by two teams from Murray State College, Oklahoma. After a competitive two days, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»'s Blue team finished in fifth place and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» White in 11th. Out of 65 players, Griffin Lora earned third place in the individual standings.
The players take a break from competition for the rest of the fall term to focus on their final exams. The next tournament will be Jan. 10 and 11, 2025 in Lake City.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» will host a qualifying tournament for the National Community College Championship Tournament on Jan. 24 and 25, 2025. All are welcome to come support the team and see them in action.

To prepare for the national qualifier, the team hopes to gain some practice by competing against Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» faculty and staff. Anyone interested in challenging the Brain Bowl players in mid-January can contact the coach. Let's help the team get ready to excel!
