Explore Learning Mindsets at the Student Affairs Symposium on Nov. 1

This year's Student Affairs Symposium will take place online on Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. The event will begin with a brief awards ceremony, followed by a keynote presentation from Dr. Ladonna Young of Motivate Lab, who will discuss "Mindsets Matter: The How Behind the What."

According to Dr. Young, "Learning mindsets are students' beliefs about themselves and their learning environments. We'll focus on three key mindsets: growth mindset, purpose and relevance, and sense of belonging. Expect to be introduced to a motivation framework and learning mindset strategies that can be seamlessly integrated into your interactions with students with deliberate planning and a commitment to continuous improvement."
