Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Basketball: Saints Seek Redemption After Road Losses

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s men’s and women’s basketball teams faced tough competition on Wednesday, each coming up short in their road matches.
Men’s Basketball
The Saints traveled to Miami Dade College for a conference matchup against the Sharks. Both teams struggled to find their rhythm offensively, but Miami Dade managed to secure a victory.
Santa Fe kept the game close in the first half, trailing 30-25 at the break. The Saints attempted to rally in the second half, but Miami Dade’s 37-point performance proved too much to overcome.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» will return to action on Saturday, February 1, hosting Indian River State College at 4 p.m.
Women’s Basketball
The Saints traveled to Fort Myers for a rescheduled game against Florida Southwestern State College. A slow start put Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» in an early deficit, as Florida Southwestern built a 20-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Despite a strong effort late in the game, the Saints could not close the gap, falling .
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» now have time to regroup before facing Daytona State College at home on February 8 at 5 p.m.
