Summer youth programs offer range of classes, activities

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Teaching Zoo to hold Teen Summit July 17
Teens are invited to participate in a one-day summit, July 17, to learn about zoo keeping and other animal related careers.

Participantswill take part in behind-the-scenes activities, presentations, training tours and more. Lunch is provided, along with free admission to Zookeeper Day on July 18.
Teen Summit is designed for teens who are passionate about animals and interested in turning that passion into a career. While attendees will learn about the zookeeper profession, they’ll also hear from professionals in exotic animal veterinary medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, conservation research, and zoo careers like events, social media, education outreach, and nutrition.
Cost is $36.99. Space is limited.
GRRATE STEM Camps focus on hands-on learn for robotics

Rising 9 - 12 grade students can attend an 8-day summer GRRATE STEM camp at one of the five Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» centers. The summer 2026 curriculum will cover hands-on learning for robotics. Students will work from a VEX Robotics kit to create working robots under the guidance of trained faculty.
There will be no cost for this program for campers. The goal is to get students thinking about careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) technical fields after graduation.
College for Kids and Counselor in Training start soon

For more than 20 years, College for Kids at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» has delivered a fun, learning-packed summer camp for children in our community, ages 10-14.
Organized by Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s Community Education, the CFK program offers an academically challenging, fun hands-on learning opportunities beyond the typical school environment. Programs are available on the Northwest Campus and Perry Center.
The highly popular Counselor in Training program also returns.
