World Tree Kangaroo Day
Overview
Kangaroos in the trees? You heard right! The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Teaching Zoo is home to the Matschie's tree kangaroo, an endangered species native to a small area of Papua New Guinea. Bring the whole family to meet these rare, majestic animals and learn how you can help them in the wild. Our zookeepers host keeper talks, animal ambassador meet-and-greets, and tree kangaroo-themed crafts and games. Special guests share insights on how zoos support tree kangaroo conservation efforts.
