Testimonials
鈥淚 have learned what my greatest strengths/talents are, and I intend on learning more about how to use them to become successful in anything I do. I will practice integrating/using them in my daily life so that I eventually use them advantageously without thinking about it. Additionally, I have learned how to manage imposter syndrome, and how to take care of myself by doing activities that help increase my emotional resilience and regulate my emotions. My current behavior will change into someone that is more self-aware, goal-oriented, and has greater self-efficacy. I will work to improve myself using everything I have learned.鈥
鈥淚 learned that I should speak on my failures as much as I do my accomplishments. That releases more of the feeling that I am not getting far in my academic journey. I enjoyed taking advantage of Dr. Evangelist and getting down my academic plan in paper, Similar to the vision board, having it in front of me at home, helps keep my goal in mind. I feel like seeing it helps 鈥渟peak it into existence.鈥 Purpose & Belonging Journey has helped motivate me, define my career goals, it has also identified weaknesses I can work on or room for improvement, like working on being extraverted so that i can feel comfortable working in groups.鈥
鈥淜nowing and understanding my values, strengths, resilience, career goals, and vision is essential to my journey toward finding purpose. Knowing what truly matters to me makes decision-making easier and helps me feel more fulfilled. Recognizing my strengths has boosted my confidence and has allowed me to use them effectively in different aspects of my life. Knowing how to build resilience has been very helpful for me. All of this together will create a strong foundation that guides me toward a more meaningful and purposeful life. 鈥
鈥淟ooking back on the Fall semester, I鈥檓 grateful to have completed the Purpose and Belonging Certification Program. This program was very different from the Emerging Leaders Program, yet equally impactful. It focused on prioritizing mental well-being, something students in rigorous academic environments often overlook. Through this program, I had the chance to engage with peers across 麻豆传媒映画 who share the goal of improving mental wellness. Hearing their perspectives and experiences was eye-opening; it reminded me that, at the end of the day, we鈥檙e all human. While our goals may appear different, they are often more similar than they seem. This experience was truly transformative, teaching me more about myself, my values, boundaries, strength, and mental awareness. Led by the amazing Tracey Reeves, the program emphasized that understanding ourselves is foundational to success. She reinforced that mental health must come first, and only then can we thrive academically, professionally, and personally. I鈥檓 incredibly grateful for the lessons learned, the meaningful discussions, and the opportunity to grow in self-awareness this past Fall. Experiences like this remind me that leadership, growth, and success all start from within.鈥
