S.T.A.R. Award

Every year, the Career Service Council recognizes a Career Service employee who has demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­. The STAR award recognizes Staff That Are Remarkable in Service, Teamwork, Attitude, and Reliability. This award is given by Career Service employees to Career Service employees as a way of showing appreciation for each other and encouraging Career Service support at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­.

Eligibility

Any full-time Career Service employee who has been in their current position a minimum of one (1) year and demonstrates the qualities described below may be eligible for STAR recognition. 

Qualifications

STAR award nominees have made valuable and lasting impacts within the Career Service Council, their department, and/or Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ as a whole through their outstanding performance in the areas of Service, Teamwork, Attitude, and Reliability. 

These remarkable staff members have consistently excelled in their positions; shown exceptional excellence in customer service through their interactions with students, faculty, coworkers, and others; and added value to the college through collaborations and innovative ideas, programs, policies, and/or systems. They are committed to their fellow Career Service members as well as the entire Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ community. This individual is dependable, trustworthy, and a notable team-player who actively works to improve the college and their department while maintaining a positive and forward-thinking attitude.

Nominations

  • Complete the nomination form below in full. You must provide details in each field explaining why your nominee is a STAR.
  • Any employee or student at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ may nominate a Career Service employee for STAR recognition.
  • You may only submit one nomination per year.
  • Combined nominations are not permitted. If more than one individual wishes to nominate the same employee, they must each submit a separate nomination form.
  • A nominee may win once every two years.
